These are some of my many varieties of Hostas. At the end of 2008, they numbered about 135 varieties of all sizes, shapes and colours and by 2012, that number was up to 180 varieties. NB, the URLs for Hosta Registry and MyHostas Database links are often too long to work properly in SmugMug. It may be necessary to copy and paste them in your browser.

This gallery includes pictures of those whose names start with V-Z. Click on any picture to enlarge it.

I took a couple of divisions from this one and in a very bad year for slugs, it also got eaten more than usual. As I write, on September 1, it is about to bloom its magnificent flowers.

Doing well. Is every bit as large as last year, or larger, but the picture taken from a different angle does not show it. On Aug. 30, when I write this, one flower scape is blooming and four more are developing.
