Name: H. 'Nolan on Ice' - 2009

Size: Probably small
Origin: seedling of H. ‘Outhouse Delight’
Flowers: unknown

Notes: This 2008 seedling from 'Outhouse Delight' is very likely self-pollinated as no other hosta nearby was blooming at the same time. I noticed in 2008 that it seemed streaky, but that streakiness vanished during the summer.

In 2009, it emerged totally white, just like its parent. The leaves show many of the same characteristics as the parent at this still juvenile stage. It will be interesting to watch it grow.

This seedling is named in honour of my grandson.

Description: Slightly shiny medium green leaves with a darker green margin.

Name: H. 'Obsession' - 2009

I moved 'Obsession' forward so that it doesn't get lost under 'Sun Power' and it is really showing off its VERY shiny, green leaves.

Description: narrow leaf margin is two tone green and streaks irregularly toward the midrib;

Name: H. 'On Stage' - 2009

Now a bit more mature, it is a shining beacon in a dark corner between my lilac bushes.

Description: emerges with a yellow leaf center instead of green like 'Paul's Glory'. The yellow center becomes white later in the season.
